Feed the Poor
Fight Inequality and Injustice
Bring People to Faith
‘The Spirit of God is upon me,
and has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor,
sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
to proclaim the year of God’s favour.’
~Jesus in the Gospel of Luke chapter 4~
More About Inclusive Community Church
We are part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches which has a presence in 28 countries. We are rooted in, but reach beyond, the LGBT+ community. We believe all the things you’d expect a Christian church to believe yet we don’t discriminate. We realise that Jesus never discriminated and think it is sad that so many of his followers seem to!
Metropolitan Community Churches first held a worship service in the United Kingdom in London in 1973. Our church in Bournemouth was established in 1979. For over four decades we have been celebrating God’s love for all.
Our worship is an energetic celebration offering something for everyone from traditional hymns to contemporary choruses with times of laughter as well as moments of reflection. First time visitors often comment on how much they enjoyed our worship service and how welcomed they felt. Those ‘first-time-fears’ were quickly gone.
We offer fellowship on Sundays and through social events, opportunities to grow in faith through small groups, and opportunities for service to others.
